Development 4

I decided to take more images to develop my project further. In my images some stairs have been taken over by nature more than others, some so much that the stairs are nearly completely nature based. In these images I wanted to explore the different types of nature that are taking over the stairs and after analysing my photos it is clear that moss and weeds are the two predominant types of nature that are found on stairs. I wanted to explore and see what makes for a more interesting photo, moss or weeds and even though it is moss that creates a better image, I am going to continue to photograph both kinds of nature so that I don't limit myself. 

The moss in this image creates more depth as it is creating subtle patterns within the image. The moss is slowly taking over the step, something that is clearly being done over time. The contrast between the colours of the moss and the step make the image sharper and more noticeable as the green stands out to the viewers eye. 

I took this image from a different angle to make the step look more interesting and to make the nature growing into the step stand out more. Even though there was more to the step, I wanted to focus on the nature and so I isolated that certain section of the step when taking the photo. 

Even though there isn't much nature growing on this step, I wanted to explore with the steps are that are just starting to have weeds grow on them. I wanted to find out if this worked well as an image and if so develop this idea further. I do not think this worked very well and so it is something that I more than likely will not be developing further. 

This image is interesting as there is a range of different colours which creates more contrast within the image. Even though there was naturally greens, blues and reds when taking this photo, I used Photoshop to make the colours more vibrant and stand out more therefore creating more depth in my work. 

This image is a close-up of the previous one. The moss has more definition in this image and so it is clearer how much the moss has taken over the once nature free set of stairs. 

Overall I think these photographs went well as there is a variety of different kinds of stairs and there is a variety of different angles and viewpoints. There is also a variety of different colour sin the nature in work which creates more depth and interest in my images.
