Melissa Lund is mainly a landscape photographer however she also experiments with other various genres such as still life and portraiture photography. Melissa Lunds photographs are inspired by the simple and oridnary in her everyday life. When taking her images, they can be thought out over days. She pictures the composition in her head before actually taking the photo. However some of her photos are a lot more spontaneous and she will take the photo right then and there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Response

 

 

After analysing Melissa Lund's images I decided work with her use of nature as well as people in my response photo. Therefore I took a picture of someone's feet on a set of stairs however, whereas Melissa Lunds photo has plain basic stairs with no nature on them, I used a set of stairs that are completely covered in moss to intergrate the use of nature. I wanted the response to be relevant to my project as well as Melissa Lunds work. I like the contrast in the shoes with the green moss that is covering the set of stairs.
