After looking at my chosen photographers work, I tried to collect images of staircases that relate to the kind of style my photographers have. Therefore I took images of stairways in derelict and abandoned buildings/areas as this is what my photographers do as well. Even though these staircases are from abandoned buildings, I need to take some photos of the interior of an abandoned building as well as some photos of nice, modern, well looked after staircases as this is what Louis Bjorling does.
This photograph has been taken from a side birds-eye view so that I could incorporate both the top and side of the stairs, therefore showing how the moss has spread all over the stairs.
I took this image from the top of the stairs looking down so that I could see how it would look for future reference. This photo makes the reader feel as if they are descending the stairs themselves.
I took this image from a side angle whilst still incorporating both the beer can and the metal door to show one, how stairs have been abandoned and two, how stairs are commonly used as dumping grounds for rubbish.
I took this photo from a close-up position so that I could highlight the detail of the blue paint as well as the wet leaves that have created detail within the stair. The blue paint creates a contrast in the image as the paint is very bright compared to the stairs which are dark and grungy.
I took this image of a metal staircase from a front perspective however, I experimented with taking the picture from an angle which highlights the growth of nature twining around the metal staircase.
When taking my pictures, I decided to try and take them from different angles to experiment with my photos and see what looked best so that I can then apply my knowledge of the best angles to my future photographs.
