After reviewing my chosen exam title- staircases, I went onto the streets and photographed any stairs that I saw. For these images I was mainly based in Manchester which is why the majority of my photo's are of stairs based outside. I took some initial photographs of stairs to get a feel for taking pictures of staircases as well as allowing ideas for my project to develop from my initial photographs. I tried to take the pictures from different viewpoints as well as different angles to see what had the best results allowing me to apply those skills to my project work. Throughout the day I had to keep changing my camera settings allowing me to take better quality images as the conditions such as natural light and indoor light changed throughout the day.
Even though these were initial images the quality of them wasn't very good and I feel as if it wasn't the best work I could do and so I am going to take some more images that showcase what I can do better than these images. A lot of the images are either blurry, not straight or very dark due to the different conditions at the time. I could have also used my camera settings more to my advantage which would have allowed me to take better quality photographs. Even though the images aren't of the best quality I can now learn from my mistakes and I now know what I need to do with my camera settings the next time I take photographs of stairs.
More Images
Due to the poor quality of some of the previous images, I decided to take some more initial photos.
